MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - An operation is currently underway in a border area in Russia's Bryansk region to eliminate armed Ukrainian radicals, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Thursday.
"The Russian FSB and Russian Defense Ministry forces attached are conducting an operation in the border Klimovo district of the Bryansk region to eliminate armed Ukrainian nationalists who violated the state border," the FSB said, without providing any other details of the operation.
Bryansk region Governor Alexander Bogomaz said earlier in the day that Ukrainian saboteurs fired at an automobile in the Klimovo district.
