Putin regularly briefed on situation in Bryansk region by FSB, Defense Ministry heads - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is being regularly briefed on the situation in the Bryansk region by the heads of law enforcement agencies in the Kremlin, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"President Putin is in the Kremlin. He is receiving regular, ongoing reports from law enforcement agencies. In particular, he is being briefed by FSB head Bortnikov, Defense Minister Shoigu, and Russian National Guard head Zolotov," Peskov told reporters.

"This concerns the events unfolding in the Bryansk region amid an attack by Ukrainian militants," he said.

"Law enforcement agency heads are reporting the measures taken by the agencies I have mentioned to counter the terrorists," Peskov said.

"Putin is also receiving reports from Alexander Bogomaz, governor of the Bryansk region, on the situation on the ground and the measures taken, which primarily aim at ensuring the security of our citizens," he said.
