Russia to keep strengthening relations with friendly states - Mishustin

DUSHANBE. March 2 (Interfax) - Russia is focused on strengthening relations with friendly states amid the turbulent global economy and geostrategic tensions, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"We will have to work in challenging conditions. These are conditions where the global economic turbulence and geostrategic tension affects all avenues of our activities. Systemic mistakes in the financial and economic policies of Western countries are among the main factors of this state of affairs, as well as the exacerbation of geopolitical differences and the imposition by the United States of America and its allies of unilateral illegitimate sanctions on Russia," Mishustin said at the 9th Russia-Tajikistan Business and Investment Partnership interregional cooperation conference.

"We are successfully opposing this pressure, ensuring the economy's sustainability contrary to all negative forecasts, taking measures to stabilize the situation on the labor market, and supporting our citizens and companies," he said.

The Russian business environment is rearranging logistics and refocusing on responsible partners, he said.

Russia will continue to strengthen its relations with friendly countries willing to work together to launch promising projects and expand trade ties through wisely utilizing the rich potential of the national economies and the record of strategic partnership and allied relations, Mishustin said.
