MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - Russian forces have destroyed Ukraine's Buk-M1 launcher and S-300 air defense missile system radar in the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"A self-propelled launcher of a Ukrainian Buk-M1 air defense missile system has been destroyed near Troitskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic. Meanwhile, a targeting radar of a Ukrainian S-300 air defense missile system has been destroyed near Andreyevka in the DPR," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Monday.
A radar of a U.S.-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-mortar system has been destroyed in the area of Gulyaipole in the Zaporozhye region, he said.
"Tactical aircraft, army aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' contingent have hit 86 artillery units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on firing positions and troops and hardware in 117 areas over the day," Konashenkov said.
