Putin proposes nationwide passports for mobilized citizen's families

MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has backed the idea of social support passports for mobilized citizen's families.

"I would like to thank you for the initiatives supporting the special military operation, first and foremost, families of our servicemen. The idea of a passport for every mobilized citizen's family is very good, and I think we should scale it up nationwide," Putin said at a virtual meeting with Kurgan region Governor Vadim Shumkov.

He thus responded to the governor's statement that the regional authorities had taken families of mobilized citizens under protection.

"There is a broad range of issues, ranging from gas supply, roof or apartment repairs and healthcare to one-off benefits - all of that is provided on time. For these purposes, the budget contains a social profile of every family and the problems that need to be addressed," Shumkov said.
