Ukrainian army's casualties growing, top 11,000 in Feb - Shoigu

MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army's casualties grew 40% month-on-month to more than 11,000 in February, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"The support provided to the Kiev regime by NATO countries does not help Ukrainian forces be successful on the battlefield. Quite the opposite, there has been a significant growth in casualties among the Ukrainian Armed Forces' personnel. In February alone, they grew more than 40% from January to over 11,000 troops," Shoigu said at a teleconference on Tuesday.
