Su-24, Su-25 planes of Ukrainian Air Force downed in DPR, Kherson region - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed Sukhoi Su-24 and Su-25 planes of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Donetsk People's Republic and the Kherson region, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"Aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces have downed a Su-24 plane of the Ukrainian Air Force near Druzhkovka in the Donetsk People's Republic," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

"Air defense has downed a Su-25 plane of the Ukrainian Air Force near Krynki in the Kherson region," he said.

Twelve projectiles of HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket systems and 11 Ukrainian drones were downed in the Lugansk and Donetsk people's republics and the Zaporozhye and Kharkov regions over the day, Konashenkov said.

"In all, 398 planes, 217 helicopters, 3,356 unmanned aerial vehicles, 410 air defense missile systems, 8,205 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,055 multiple rocket launchers, 4,294 artillery systems and mortars, and 8,780 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," he said.
