MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - Moscow does not know who organized the blasts of the Nord Stream gas pipelines and insists on taking part in the investigation, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said.
"We still do not know for sure who exactly is the author and perpetrator of the Nord Stream blasts. Russia has not been included in the investigation of this unprecedented terror attack," Patrushev told the Argumenty i Fakty weekly.
"Any accusations unsubstantiated with results of an impartial investigation cannot be trusted. Therefore, Moscow insists on an unbiased probe with the participation of Russia and other interested states. The publication of unilateral, subjective theories of the terror attack explains nothing without that," he said.
Two Nord Stream 1 lines and one Nord Stream 2 line depressurized as a result of a blast in September 2022. Russia opened a criminal case on international terrorism counts. Swedish security services also described the incident as sabotage.
