MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Over 90 billion rubles worth of property belonging to corrupt officials was returned to Russia's state coffers in 2022, Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov said.

"The sum of claims filed by prosecutors against officials who illegally enriched themselves and granted by courts has tripled. In fact, 7,500 property items worth over 90 billion rubles were transferred to the state's revenues," Krasnov said at a Prosecutor General's Office board meeting reviewing the 2022 results on Wednesday.

Apart from that, nearly 700 million rubles was recovered from persons who committed corruption-related administrative offenses, he said.
