YEREVAN. March 16 (Interfax) - Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov discussed the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the military-political situation in the region.
"There has been an exchange of opinions regarding international and regional security, the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and the military-political situation surrounding Armenia," the Armenian Defense Ministry press service said.
Speaking of the border situation, Papikyan presented "problems existing for quite a long time as regards the engagement of CSTO collective defense mechanisms and the Defense Ministry's expectations."
