MOSCOW. March 17 (Interfax) - Forty percent of Russians have called the special military operation the most important event of last week, the Public Opinion Foundation said in a statement on its website on Friday.
The respondents explained their opinion with the need to provide national security and support for operation participants.
Other most significant events of the week were mass protests in Georgia, the situation around investigation into Nord Stream gas pipeline blasts, and further worsening of Moscow-West relations.
The Public Opinion Foundation polled 1,500 respondents aged 18 and up in 104 localities in 53 regions of Russia on March 10-12, 2023.
