Russian ship carrying Kalibr missiles completes firing exercises in Baltic Sea

MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax) - The Grad small missile ship has drilled air defense and artillery firing at a seaborne target, Russia's Baltic Fleet said in a statement on Monday.

"The ship drilled live fire using A-190 and AK-630M2 artillery systems on simulated air targets and special illuminating projectiles fired by a 152mm Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer from the Cape Taran in the Kaliningrad region," the statement said.

The ship also drilled artillery fire on a seaborne target simulating mock enemy's ship, it said.

"All safety procedures were observed during the artillery firing. Surface ships and vessels of the Baltic Fleet supervised their observance during the exercise," it said.
