EU ministers agree to provide Ukraine with ammo from stocks, to boost military production - Borrell

BRUSSELS. March 21 (Interfax) - The foreign and defense ministers of the European Union countries have agreed to supply artillery ammunition from stocks to Ukraine and to increase the EU's industrial capacity to ensure such deliveries, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said.

"I am happy to announce that the defense and foreign ministers together agreed on the proposal to urgently provide artillery ammunition from existing stocks or from jointly procuring, addressing to the industry, and increasing the industrial capacity," Borrell said at a press conference after the ministerial meeting.

This project will be presented to European leaders at the EU summit on March 23-24.
