MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping will make statements for the press following their negotiations on Tuesday, while no questions from reporters are expected, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
Speaking to journalists, Peskov informed them of the Russian president's schedule for Tuesday, mentioning broad-format negotiations that Putin and Xi are scheduled to hold later in the day. "This will be followed by a ceremony of signing joint documents, and Putin and Xi Jinping will also address members of the press with statements right there, at the Malachite Hall [of the Kremlin]. No questions [from reporters] are expected," he said.
To conclude the day, the Russian president will host a state dinner in honor of the Chinese leader. "There will be official toasts there," Peskov said.
Late on Tuesday, Putin should also have a number of domestic meetings, Peskov said. "One of them might be public. I won't run ahead of myself for now, but I think this will take place roughly between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Moscow time," he said.
