Moscow, unlike West, respects China's plan of settlement in Ukraine - Kremlin aide Ushakov

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - China's plan of the settlement of the situation in Ukraine inspires Moscow's respect, whereas the West is irritated by this initiative, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.

"[China's Ukraine peace plan] causes the West's irritation, while it inspires Moscow's respect," Ushakov said. He mentioned that the Chinese initiative was discussed during the informal talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Monday.

Ushakov also said that Monday's informal talks between the Russian and Chinese leaders were very detailed and long. "The conversation was useful for both parties," he said.
