MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russia and China have set the task of boosting their cooperation in eight sectors, including the financial one and transport, President Vladimir Putin said.
"Our joint statement about a plan to develop the key vectors of our economic cooperation till 2023 sets the task of manifold increase in volumes of our trade in goods and services, of deepening our relations in eight strategic areas," Putin said after talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Moscow.
These are primarily the financial, industrial-technological and transport-logistics sectors, Putin said.
"The governments of Russia and China, [and] our two countries' business circles should forthwith proceed to putting the statement's provisions into practice," Putin said.
Also, the two sides are to "agree a set of measures on their implementation saturated with specific mutually profitable initiatives and projects," Putin said.
