MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russian-Chinese talks were successful, Russia and China can find solutions to the most complicated problems, Russian President Vladimir Putin said following Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Russia.
"We are sincerely pleased with the opportunity to receive our dear friend, Chinese President Mr. Xi Jinping, on a state visit in Russia again. All our talks yesterday and today, one-on-one, in the narrow format, and involving delegations, were successful, they took place in a warm, comradely, and constructive atmosphere," Putin said during a joint press statement on Tuesday.
The two program joint statements signed today "fully reflect the special nature of Russian-Chinese relations which are at the highest development level in history and are an example of a true comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction," he said.
"Russia and China are linked by strong ties of good neighborly relations, togetherness, support, and friendship between our nations, and an active bilateral dialogue on all levels is maintained. The Chinese president and I maintain constant contacts," Putin said.
In addition to bilateral summits, meetings on the sidelines of international events take place and issues of mutual interest are regularly discussed by phone and video linkup, he said.
"It enables finding any solution to all problems, even in most difficult situations, and maintain personal control over all relevant issues of the bilateral and international agenda," Putin said.
