TBILISI. March 22 (Interfax) - German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is due to visit Georgia on an official visit on March 23-24, the German embassy in Tbilisi said on Wednesday.
During the visit, Baerbock is due to meet with Georgia's President Salome Zourabichvili, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, the German embassy said.
It is also planned that Baerbock will have meetings with Georgian students and representatives of non-governmental organizations and the opposition in Tbilisi.
She is planning to visit the border with South Ossetia and get familiarized with the work of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia, it said.
"Support being provided by Germany to Georgia on the path to rapprochement with the European Union and NATO and implementing reforms necessary in this regard will be on top of these meetings," the German embassy said.
