Israeli fighters damage airport infrastructure in Syria's Aleppo in air strike - Russian reconciliation center

KHMEIMIM. March 22 (Interfax) - Four F-16 tactical fighter aircraft delivered a missile strike on the Al-Nayrab international airport in Syria's Aleppo in the early hours of March 22, Rear Adm. Oleg Gurinov, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, said at a briefing on Wednesday.

The airport's infrastructure, namely, a runway and a radar, was damaged in the strike delivered from the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea from 3:46 a.m. to 3:55 a.m., he said.

"Operations of the airport were halted, therefore, humanitarian cargo is currently not delivered," Gurinov said.
