MOSCOW. March 23 (Interfax) - Almost 8,500 facilities have already been restored in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Thursday.
"Last year we started restoring infrastructure in the new regions for people's normal lives and activities. We have already completed work at nearly 8,500 facilities. These include houses, roads, utility networks, polyclinics and hospitals, and schools," Mishustin said in a report in the State Duma on the Russian government's performance in 2022.
He noted that 3,500 power grid facilities have been repaired. All communication networks are technologically integrated into unified gas and energy supply systems.
Mishustin added that the construction of a water pipeline from the Rostov region would be completed in about a week, which will improve the quality of drinking water in the DPR.
