KURSK. March 23 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have delivered strikes on Russian border territories, Governor of Russia's Kursk region Roman Starovoit said.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces twice shelled the Kursk region from Ukrainian territory today. There were two strikes on the outskirts of the village of Plyokhovo in the Sudzha district. The adversary fired another eight mortar shells at the village of Gordeyevka in the Korenevo district. No residents were hurt in both incidents. No serious damage was caused either," Starovoit said on Telegram.
However, an electrical cable was damaged in Gordeyevka during the strike, the governor said. Repair teams plan to restore electricity supply shortly.
The yellow (high) level of terrorist alert in the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine and has repeatedly been under fire, is in effect since April 11, 2022.
