ST. PETERSBURG. March 24 (Interfax) - The shipyards in St. Petersburg plan to increase their output, the city's government said in a statement on Thursday.
"As of early 2023, the shipyards in St. Petersburg have a total of 60 vessels (26 civilian and 34 military) under construction," the statement said.
Last year Admiralteiskie Verfi laid down two Project 677 submarines, Vologda and Yaroslavl, it said.
Almaz has laid down four warships and Sredne-Nevsky is building two high-speed catamarans to connect with Kronshtadt, a high-speed motor boat for the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, and a countermine defense ship," the statement said.
Last year ten ships and vessels were completed by shipyards in St. Petersburg, the city authorities said.
