WASHINGTON. March 24 (Interfax) - Statements by U.S. officials denying involvement of U.S. government agencies in the act of sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines lack credibility, the Russian embassy to the United States said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
"We noted Secretary of State Antony Blinken's statement made on March 23 during the congressional hearings in Congress that supposedly no agency of the U.S. government blew up Nord Stream pipelines or facilitated that action," the embassy said.
"We have to remind that statements by U.S. officials [...] are not trustworthy," it said.
Moscow has consistently and firmly called for launching an unbiased and transparent international investigation into the Nord Stream blasts, it said.
"However, the United States [...] vehemently opposes such efforts," it said.
