Russian Pacific Fleet fighter jets practice patrolling eastern borders at drills in Kamchatka

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - MiG-31BM high-altitude interceptor fighter aircraft of the Russian Pacific Fleet practiced patrol missions and air border defense in the country's easte during an exercise in Kamchatka, the fleet's press service said on Friday.

"During their training missions, MiG-31BM crews practiced instrument flying in the absence of visual reference," the press service said.

Two MiG-31BM planes and 30 servicemen took part in the exercise.
