MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Almost one in three Russians (31%) say they view the special military operation as being the most important and significant event over the past week, according to the findings of a Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) poll published on the pollster's website on Friday.
Most often theses respondents cited the need to provide national security, and feeling for the participants in the operation.
The rating of the biggest events also included Chinese leader Xi Jinping's visit to Russia, the consequences of an incident involving an American drone over the Black Sea, and the further souring of Moscow's relations with the West.

On March 17, FOM said that 40% of Russians viewed the special military operation as the most important and significant event over the preceding week. On March 3 and 10, the figures were 30% and 42%, respectively, according to FOM data.
