MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has designated the Ukrainian nongovernmental organization CrimeaSOS as undesirable in Russia.
"Based on the examination of available materials, it has been established that the activities of the foreign nongovernmental organization CrimeaSOS (Ukraine) pose a threat to the Russian Federation's constitutional system and security," the office said.
"The organization's declared goals, namely the 'de-occupation and reintegration' of Crimea into Ukraine, are aimed at violating the Russian Federation's territorial integrity," it said.
CrimeaSOS's partners are the National Endowment for Democracy (U.S.) and the International Partnership for Human Rights (Belgium), whose activities in the Russian Federation have been designated as undesirable, it said.
"Since the start of the Russian special military operation for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the NGO has been actively engaged in an information campaign aimed at discrediting the Russian Armed Forces," it said.
In view of this, "it has been decided to designate this organization's activity as undesirable in the Russian Federation," it said.
The information on this decision has been referred to the Russian Justice Ministry to enter it in the list of foreign and international nongovernmental organizations whose activities have been designated as undesirable in Russia and to make it public, it said.
