MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - Russia and Belarus have signed a resolution on building a common satellite constellation and remote sensing research, as reported following a meeting of the Belarus-Russia Union's Council of Ministers.
The resolution is titled On the Union State's Programs in the Space Exploration Field (On Building a Satellite (Satellite Constellation) and Joint Remote Sensing Research).
Roscosmos CEO Yury Borisov said on September 28, 2022 that the Russian state space corporation planned to start building a Russian-Belarusian remote sensing satellite in January 2023.
Dmitry Rogozin, the then Roscosmos CEO, said in October 2020 that Russia and Belarus had started developing a joint constellation of remote sensing satellites.
