Two militants killed in Chechnya's Gudermes - Kadyrov

MOSCOW. March 29 (Interfax) - Two militants have been killed in the city of Gudermes in Russian internal republic of Chechnya, the region's head Ramzan Kadyrov said.

"While trying to break through cordons, the criminals hurled a grenade towards law enforcement officers. Fire was returned and both of them were killed. There are no casualties among law enforcers and civilians," Kadyrov said on Telegram.

The operation was carried out in the Gudermes neighborhood with private houses, he said.

"During the special operation [...]. their [militants'] location was rapidly found. The militants were blocked and offered to surrender," Kadyrov said.

"The criminals were found and eliminated," he said, adding, "Gudermes lives a quiet life."
