Planned deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus aimed to make NATO realize gravity of situation - Russian deputy FM

MOSCOW. March 29 (Interfax) - Moscow hopes that the declaration of its plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus will make the West realize the gravity of the situation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"We are hoping that the seriousness of this situation has been adequately assessed by NATO officials and, most importantly, by the leaders and politicians of leading NATO states that aspire to govern the world by canons and guidelines they have formulated for themselves," Ryabkov told reporters in Moscow.
