U.S. has not informed Russia about suspended fulfillment of New START obligations - deputy FM

MOSCOW. March 30 (Interfax) - Russia has informed the United States about its suspension of the fulfillment of the New START treaty and related notifications both orally and in writing, while the United States has not sent such notices, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"We have relayed our stance to them both orally and in writing, as a memo from the Foreign Ministry. There is no ambiguity, understatement, nothing like that," Ryabkov told reporters commenting on the U.S. Department of State's remark that the U.S. received no notice from Russia regarding the suspension of information exchange.

As to whether the U.S. informed Russia about suspending the treaty, Ryabkov said, "No, they did not say that."
