MOSCOW. March 30 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed a Ukrainian Mil Mi-8 helicopter in the Zaporozhye region, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"Air defense downed a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force near Temirovka in the Zaporozhye region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Thursday.
A Grom-2 tactical missile and three HIMARS projectiles were intercepted during the day, and two Ukrainian drones were downed in the Donetsk People's Republic, he said.
"In all, 404 planes, 227 helicopters, 3,622 unmanned aerial vehicles, 415 air defense missile systems, 8,472 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,076 multiple rocket launchers, 4,462 artillery systems and mortars, and 9,199 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.
