Lavrov to visit Turkey next week to discuss Syria, Ukraine - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 30 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Turkey on April 6-7 to discuss the situation in Syria and Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.

"Lavrov will visit Turkey on April 6-7. As part of his engagements, he plans to discuss a broad range of problems, primarily the state and prospects of bilateral interaction in areas of mutual interest, including trade, energy, and tourism," Zakharova said at a press briefing on Thursday.

"There will be a substantive exchange of opinions on relevant items of the regional and international agenda, including the current situation in Ukraine and the Syrian and Nagorno-Karabakh settlement processes," Zakharova said.
