Suspected killer of blogger Tatarsky detained - source

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - St. Petersburg resident Darya Trepova has been detained on suspicion of killing blogger Vladlen Tatarsky, an informed source told Interfax on Sunday.

He said Trepova, born in 1997, has been taken to an investigator's office.

Investigators have grounds to believe that Trepova brought the box with Tatarsky's bust and an inbuilt explosive device to the cafe, the source said.

Interfax has yet to obtain an official confirmation to that.

Tatarsky was killed in a blast at the Street Bar cafe in the center of St. Petersburg on Sunday. According to the Russian Health Ministry, 25 people were hurt, and 24 of them were hospitalized.

The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on counts of murder committed by a socially dangerous method. The committee head put the central staff in charge of the investigation.

A young woman who presented a plaster bust to Tatarsky is suspected of killing him.
