Russia to facilitate compatriots' resettlement from unfriendly countries - PM

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - The Russian government will facilitate the voluntary resettlement of compatriots from unfriendly countries, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"The government will facilitate their enrollment in the state program. They will be able to file applications both in their country of citizenship, in their country of residence, and in our country," Mishustin said at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on Monday.

The applicants "will not have to translate and notarize documents where entries are duplicated in Russian," he said.

"Refugees and individuals with temporary asylum will be entitled to fast-track accession to the state program," Mishustin said.

The package of required documents will also be reduced, he said.

"It will not be necessary to present a birth certificate, information about education, a work record, or many other things," Mishustin said.

These measures will facilitate the resettlement of thousands of compatriots and their families to Russia, he said.
