MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - Darya Trepova has been detained on suspicion of involvement in the St. Petersburg cafe blast that killed blogger Maxim Fomin, also known as Vladlen Tatarsky, the Russian Investigative Committee said via Telegram on Monday.
"Russian Investigative Committee officers, acting together with operative services, have detained Darya Trepova on suspicion of involvement in the cafe blast in St. Petersburg," the statement said.
The Russian Interior Ministry placed Trepova on its wanted list earlier on Monday.
The blast rocked a cafe on Universitetskaya Embankment in St. Petersburg on April 2, killing Fomin (Tatarsky) and injuring more than 30 people.
The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on counts of murder by publicly dangerous means. A short time before the explosion, a woman (purportedly, Trepova) presented Tatarsky with a plaster bust which, according to preliminary information, may have contained an improvised explosive device.
