MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - Moscow's Khamovnichesky District Court on Monday handed down a custody term to Oksana Fyodorova, suspected of espionage.
"The court granted a motion lodged by a Federal Security Service investigator and remanded Oksana Fyodorova, who is suspected of espionage, in custody as a restraining measure," court spokesperson Anna Lokteva told Interfax.
Lokteva declined to disclose the suspect's nationality and occupation, adding that the case files are classified and the court session itself was held behind closed doors.
Fyodorova is suspected of espionage, a charge that carries from ten to 20 years in prison if she is found guilty.
