MINSK. April 4 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko thanked Russia for information and technical support provided to Belarusian intelligence at a meeting with Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Naryshkin in Minsk on Tuesday.
"We have recently intensified intelligence exchange and improved the quality of information. In the first instance, this is due to the intensified activity of the State Security Committee. The fact that Russians, you above all, are giving us solid assistance in technical intelligence operations is also playing a significant role," the presidential press service quoted Lukashenko as saying.
Belarusian State Security Committee Chairman Ivan Tertel took part in the Lukashenko-Naryshkin meeting.
