Troops from 120th Mechanized Brigade march to designated area - Belarusian Defense Ministry

MINSK. April 5 (Interfax) - A mechanized brigade of the Belarusian Armed Forces stationed in Minsk is conducting a march by public roads, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"Troops from a mechanized battalion of the 120th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade rapidly prepared for marching to the designated area and fulfilling their mission," the ministry said.

"Combat vehicles are driving by public roads and demonstrating cohesion and skills," it said.

The ministry said on March 3 that a combat readiness check had begun in the Armed Forces on the orders from Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. "It's a comprehensive process to assess commanders' ability to control subordinated military units and detachments and the readiness of military units to accomplish their missions on time," it said.

The State Secretariat of the Belarusian Security Council is overseeing the check.
