BRUSSELS. April 5 (Interfax) - NATO has so far seen no signs that China could be transferring lethal weapons to Russia and continues to follow the situation, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Wednesday.
"So far, we've not been able to confirm any provision of lethal aid, but this is something we follow very closely," he said at a press conference.
He noted that the provision of this kind of aid by China "will be a big mistake with profound consequences."
Stoltenberg recalled a number of allies who had warned of the consequences if weapons were transferred to Russia. At the same time, he said that he did not think it necessary to explain publicly what kind of consequences this would entail.
