Ukrainian strike leaves village in Russia's Kursk region without power

KURSK. April 5 (Interfax) - Kursk region Governor Roman Starovoit has reported another Ukrainian attack on the Russian region on the same day.

"As a result of another fire attack by Ukraine, the Krasnooktyabrsky village in the Glushkovo district has been cut off from power supply. Nobody was injured, and there is no other damage," Starovoit wrote on Telegram.

Repair crews will start to rectify the effects shortly, he said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Starovoit said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the environs of the village of Gordeyevka in the Korenevo district, leaving three populated localities - Gordeyevka, Uspenovka and Troitskoye - without electricity. No casualties were reported.

The yellow (high) level of terrorist alert has been in effect in the Kursk region since April 11, 2022. The region's territory borders on Ukraine and has been shelled several times.
