MINSK. April 6 (Interfax) - More than 500 Belarusian instructors are taking part in training the regional group of forces, the head of the Belarusian Armed Forces' main combat training directorate, Maj. Gen. Alexander Bas, said.
"More than 500 Belarusian instructors are helping train units of the regional group of forces. Their practical skills and knowledge are at the highest level. This fact was confirmed by feedback from Russian colleagues and the results of control drills," the Belarusian Defense Ministry's press service quoted Bas as saying.
The training process relies on the experience of fighting during the special military operation, he said.
"Back at the start of last year, we actively analyzed the forms and methods of utilizing troops during the special military operation. Based on this, we introduced changes to the training program of our units. Personnel are being trained both in individual specialisms and to act within small groups. The focus is on replaceability, the ability to operate a large number of different types of weapons, the ability to conduct operations in any terrain, including in an urban environment, and using different types of unmanned aerial vehicles and other state-of-the-art weapons and military and special hardware," Bas said.
