Putin, Pashinyan discuss Nagorno-Karabakh situation - Kremlin

MOSCOW. April 7 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan by phone at the latter's initiative, the Kremlin press service said.

The two leaders "continued to discuss various aspects of the current situation around Nagorno-Karabakh," the press service said.

In this context, they "reaffirmed the importance of continuous implementation of fundamental agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020-2022, including ensuring security and stability on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the restoration of economic and transport connections in the South Caucasus, and the drafting of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan," it said.

"Certain relevant aspects of bilateral relations" were touched upon, it said.
