Bryansk court arrests Ukrainian pilot suspected of illegally crossing Russian border

BRYANSK. April 7 (Interfax) - A court in Bryansk has sanctioned on Friday the arrest of the pilot of a Ukrainian single-engine plane that crashed in the Bryansk region, the Bryansk Regional Court told Interfax.

"[The pilot] was arrested until May 4," the court said.

The pilot is suspected of illegally crossing the Russian Federation's state border.

The border department of the Federal Security Service said on Wednesday that the pilot of the Ukrainian single-engine aircraft that crashed in the Bryansk region had been detained. The incident happened near the Butovsk village. The causes of the crash are unknown.
