MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - Russian forces have destroyed an ammunition depot of the 65th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye region, and Russian aircraft and artillery have struck enemy positions near Ugledar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"An ammunition depot of the 65th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been destroyed near Orekhov of the Zaporozhye region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
"In the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye sectors, aircraft and artillery of the eastern group of forces have struck Ukrainian Armed Forces units near Ugledar of the Donetsk People's Republic and Gulyaipole and Orekhov of the Zaporozhye region," he said.
In the Kupyansk sector, "aircraft and artillery of the western group of forces have struck Ukrainian Armed Forces units near Pershotravnevoye and Berestovoye of the Kharkov region and Stelmakhovka of the Lugansk People's Republic," he said.
"Actions of three Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were curbed near Sinkovka and Kislovka of the Kharkov region," Konashenkov said.
Over 30 Ukrainian troops were killed and two automobiles, Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzers, and U.S.-made Paladin howitzers were destroyed in that area, he said.
"In the Krasny Liman sector, attack planes and artillery of the central group of forces struck enemy units near Chervonopopovka, Nevskoye, and Chervonaya Dibrova of the Lugansk People's Republic and near Grigorovka and Terny of the Donetsk People's Republic," he said.
"Over 80 Ukrainian troops were killed and four armored fighting vehicles, three automobiles, and a D-20 howitzer were destroyed in said area over the past 24 hours," he said.
"Activities of two enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been curbed" near Pavlovka and Novoselka of the DPR, Konashenkov said.
"Up to 180 Ukrainian troops were killed and 11 automobiles and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed in said sectors in the past 24 hours," he said.
"Up to 50 Ukrainian troops were killed and three armored fighting vehicles and six cars were destroyed in the Kherson sector over the past 24 hours. In addition, a materiel depot of the 121st territorial defense brigade was destroyed near Otradokamenka of the Kherson region," he said.
Tactical aircraft, missile forces, and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces hit 94 Ukrainian artillery crews at their firing positions, as well as personnel and hardware in 117 areas, over the past 24 hours, he said.
