Activities of detained guardsman Teixeira matter of concern for U.S. special services, Russia's job is to analyze Pentagon leaks - Kremlin

MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - The activities of Jack Teixeira, a United States National Guard airman detained on Thursday in a probe into the leak of classified Pentagon information, is a prerogative of American special services, while Russia's job is to analyze the leaked documents, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"This is rather a matter of concern for American special services. Our job is to analyze this data and study it closely, while still questioning its veracity," Peskov told journalists on Friday.

Studying the materials that have been made public "is rather a prerogative of our special services," Peskov said.

"After all, they have not been publicly accessible, and it's impossible to see them in a concentrated form, but we've definitely read all the media reports. We've familiarized ourselves with them," Peskov said.
