U.S. starts issuing visas to Russian delegation to UN events in New York

MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - The United States has started issuing visas to the Russian delegation led by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to UN events in New York, yet there is an impasse with the issuance of visas to Russian journalists, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The U.S. side started issuing visas to the Russian delegation led by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for participation in sessions of the UN Security Council where Russia presides from April," the ministry said.

"There is still an impasse with the issuance of visas to Russian journalists to cover the work of our delegation at the UN Security Council," it said.
