British PM, Ukrainian president discuss ways to speed up military assistance to Kiev

LONDON. April 14 (Interfax) - British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak had a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, during which the two leaders discussed further military assistance to Kiev, Downing Street said on Friday.

"The leaders also discussed efforts to accelerate military support to Ukraine," the report said.

Sunak also said London and its allies should continue with attempts to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sunak said that this, among other things, necessitates "increasing interoperability with NATO both in the short and long term."
