MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - Crews of several missile ships and boats have conducted live-fire training for repelling enemy air attacks, and have carried out artillery strikes on a simulated seaborne target, Russia's Baltic Fleet said on Friday.
"In the course of the sortie, the ships' crews completed a series of activities to repel enemy air attacks and conducted live-fire exercises against a small marine target. Flare projectiles were used as air targets," the Baltic Fleet press service said in a statement.
Participating ships included the small missile ships the Zelyony Dol and Grad, the missile boats Chuvashia and Dimitrovgrad, and the small anti-submarine ships Aleksin and Kabardino-Balkaria, it said.
"The ships conducted a series of live-fire exercises using the AK-190 and AK-176 artillery systems against a small marine target simulating a mock enemy ship," it said.
The drills in the Baltic Sea were routine, it said.
