Belarusian medics deploy field hospital during army preparedness check

MINSK. April 17 (Interfax) - Army medics have deployed a field hospital amid the ongoing combat preparedness check of the Belarusian Armed Forces, the press service for the Belarusian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

"A special medical unit from the 432nd Main Military Clinical Medical Center is accomplishing missions at a country's range during a comprehensive combat readiness check of the Armed Forces. Unit specialists have deployed a field hospital," the press service said.

Medics who are back from Syria after having helped quake victims are accomplishing the mission, it said.

The ministry announced the beginning of the surprise check on April 3.

"This is a comprehensive event aimed to assess the ability of commanders to control subordinate detachments and military units placed on high alert and the readiness of military units to timely accomplish their missions," the ministry said.

The check involves deployment of military hardware and possible temporary restrictions on civilian vehicles on public roads and in public areas.
