Anti-corruption work developing consistently in Russia - Peskov

MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax) - The Kremlin sees no risks in decisions of certain agencies to remove information from their websites about officials' incomes for recent years, but recommends that the reasons for such actions be clarified, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"The entire base of anti-corruption work has been retained. This work is ongoing, and this is happening in a consistent manner. Publication is not the most important thing. What matters most is that a declaration is filed with the appropriate agencies, as happened before. Every check is as scrupulous as it was before. Nothing has changed," Peskov told reporters when commenting on statements that information about officials' incomes from recent years had been removed from certain ministries' websites.

"I don't know anything about the removal of information for all recent years. We haven't removed anything from our website," he said.

"You should contact every individual ministry and ask why that decision has been made," Peskov said.

"As for not publishing such information this year - yes, the document contains provisions of this kind. As for the presidential administration, declarations have been filed by everyone compelled to do so with the relevant oversight bodies in the established time frame. They are being verified with the participation of specialized services, [the] tax [service] and others," Peskov said.
